And so the experiment begins!
Zara of "The Fabric Case" has been the main source of inspiration for me :) mainly because her blog and pieces seem so friendly that a newbie like me feels safe to put my hands on quilting...
So, I started off my first quilt project with the "Saltbox" charm pack which I purchased from Zara and walah... the coffee table quilt was produced :)
Dearest hubby gave the middle piece idea as he said the pinwheels were getting too boring for him ;-)
So, the middle piece credit goes totally to him...
I used some English Cotton that I bought from Nagoya and put the pinwheels together...
To quilt, I used the "stitch in the ditch" as that's the only one that I could understand for now :)
I have yet to take a pic of the completed project although it's been done over a week now...
Will definitely take the pic tonight and post them up tomorrow...

Blogging???
So yeah, this is funny... me blogging... firstly, when it comes to blogging, I don't even know how the setting works... but, I've been persuaded by many that this could be a good way for me to share my new passion aka hobby with fellow mates out there...
I've started on a fabric story... I've always been interested in quilts and every time I see them, I go like "aweeeee...." and so I thought (now that life seems a little stable) why not I start... All my life, I've never tried sewing anything and what more operate a sewing machine... but it always look so easy (when mum is doing it) just straight lines :)
Well, the challenge is now here and I took the passion a step further, I bought a sewing machine (Brother IS-50) and am now exploring quilts... hope to share my very very amateur works here and hoping to meet others with the same passion for ideas, advise and suggestions!
Will be back soon, got to get some photos to upload :)
